The Polish Weekend School "Kleks" in Ireland runs classes for children from 5 years of age, focusing on learning Polish and learning about the culture and traditions associated with the country of their parents. Through play, we teach reading, writing in Polish, and also introduce the history, geography and customs of Poland. Lessons are held on Saturdays.
Our school is a space where children can develop their language skills, cultivate bilingualism and make new friends in a friendly atmosphere. In addition to language classes, we also offer artistic and musical activities and lots of fun.
We also want to create a place where parents and guardians can meet, share experiences and discuss the challenges of raising children in a multicultural environment.
The school's activities are financially supported by the Institute for the Development of the Polish Language named after St. Maksymilian Maria Kolbe from the funds of the Minister of National Education as part of the project "White and Red ABC. Supporting the development of Polish-language education in Ireland", implemented by the Freedom and Democracy Foundation.
